Twilight star Peter Facinelli started working on his next project, Loosies, in Cranston, Rhode Island last month. The project is a labor of love for Facinelli who also wrote the movie about, “A young pickpocket in the New York subways, living a fast, free, lifestyle is confronted by a woman whom he had a one night affair with, she informs him that she is now pregnant with his child, he must now choose between continuing the lifestyle he lead or take responsibility for his actions.”
Although Loosies is set entirely in New York City, the film’s director, Michael Corrente, told The Providence Journal that 80 percent of it will be shot in the old Cranston lockup, where “elaborate sets have been constructed and a small army of movie technicians has set up shop in old offices, even hallways.”
They’ve already shot some scenes in downtown Providence, RI and there will be a few days of shooting in New York by a second-unit crew after filming is completed in Cranston in about two weeks.
Peter will take a break from filming this weekend to sign autographs at the Spotsylvania Town Center in Virginia on Saturday, Aug 7th from 12-5 to help raise awareness for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
