ReelzChannel: Top 10 Fanmade Twilight Saga Posters
SylverBookmark and Share

Remember the Twilight movie poster that was so Photoshopped Robert Pattinson looked almost unrecognizable? Or the New Moon teaser that looked like an advertisement for his 'n' hers outdoor fashion? If you do, you'll know the Twilight Saga posters have a certain style — one designed to get as many RPattz fans into theaters as possible.

With the release of Eclipse fast approaching — and hungry for something new — we picked our favorite 10 fanmade posters, spanning all four of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling books. Do you have a clear favorite? Think they're better than the official ones? Let us know in the comments.

Pros: Simple, to the point, shows Bella & Edward looking comfortable and not at all awkward (Robsten, are you listening?)

Cons: No official movie images, only half of Edward's head on display

Verdict: Summit should take note of how fans want their characters to look — friendly and in love, not Photoshopped into a marble mess.

Pros: Uses an awesome Edward/RPattz promo shot; pays homage to the apple on the book cover; good, moody blue lighting

Cons: No Summit logo

Verdict: This one would have drawn a theater crowd based on Edward's appearance alone. Accurate or what?

Pros: Official logo and date stamp, clear images, Edward's silhouette, plays up Bella's time pining for Edward

Cons: If you hadn't already heard of Twilight, you wouldn't know this movie was about vampires and werewolves.

Verdict: Perfect for die-hard fans who don't need much viewing persuasion

Pros: The trio in full view, wolf outline, Bella cliff diving, Edward in Volterra

Cons: Too much going on — it's hard to know where to look.

Verdict: Somehow it doesn't look serious enough — darker colors and a hint of vampirism would help with that.

Pros: Cool tagline, one of the best Twilight promo images, a sense of foreboding, KStew looking like she can act

Cons: No beefcake-Jake

Verdict: We'd happily add this to our Twilight Saga poster collection

Pros: A wishful-thinking rendering of Edward, Volterra background

Cons: It's really all a fangirl lie, created to show fans what they could have had

Verdict: Don't you just wish RPattz really looked like that? If he did, his shirtless scenes in New Moon would have been much easier to watch.

Pros: Conveys darkness and danger, uses red like the ribbon on the Eclipse book cover, love-triangle focus

Cons: Images could be a little sharper

Verdict: We wish this was the official Eclipse poster. There's no way we'd walk past it in a theater.

Pros: Simple but effective teaser, book cover font, emphasis on Edward

Cons: Missing Bella and Jacob — sure Edward's still #1, but Bella and the wolves have fans, too.

Verdict: Jacob who? Edward fans rejoice!

Pros: A mixture of official promo images, "Fire and Ice" text

Cons: Not enough originality

Verdict: Combines the eclipse and love-triangle images to make a better poster than what Summit has come up with

Pros: Book cover chess pieces, no Edward — Breaking Dawn is mostly Bella's story, after all

Cons: Bella as a vampire. Spoiler, anyone?

Verdict: Hopefully the final posters will follow a similar theme. Something has to succeed in making people flock to watch it.
