British actor Robert Pattinson is getting greater mileage than his contemporaries; the 23 year heartthrob who rose to fame with his role as Edward Cullen in the successful Twilight series has received two important recognitions recently.
Firstly the young star features in the Time Magazine’s list of “2010 Time 100 Poll” candidate from which the world’s most influential people will be chosen with the help of public opinion. Pattinson has found a place among President Barack Obama, pop sensation Lady Gaga, US Foreign Secretary Hillary Clinton, Avatar creator James Cameron and the controversial Republican figure Sarah Palin to name a few.
The magazine explained his candidature in the following lines: “The Twilight saga has been a boon for the British heartthrob, who plays sparkly, sexy vampire Edward Cullen in the hit franchise. The third installment, Eclipse, comes out this summer, ensuring that Pattinson’s face — however pale — will be omnipresent.”
He is not only getting noted for his star power but also for his fashion sense. The Twilight hunk has been named the Best Dressed Male Celebrity Of 2010 after a poll was conducted by Glamour magazine. But his co-star Kristen Stewart has found 20th place in the fashion poll
