The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will open in theaters nationwide at midnight tonight and the film has already set a record before the theater doors have opened. Deadline New York is reporting that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has broken the record for largest theater count in box office history.
The film will open in 4,416 theaters on Wednesday, eclipsing Iron Man 2's record opening weekend theater count of 4,380. It wasn't quite clear how many of those 4,416 theaters will be offering midnight screenings of the film.
